1. The Short Version
PulseIQ does not use cookies to track visitors. We do not sell data. We do not share analytics data with Google or any advertising platform. The data collected from your websites stays in your account and is not used to train models or serve ads.
2. What We Collect From Visitors to pulse-iq.io
- Your email address when you sign up
- Billing information processed by Stripe (we never see or store raw card numbers)
- Messages you send via the contact form
- Pages you visit on pulse-iq.io, collected with our own PulseIQ tracker, cookieless, with no personal data stored
3. What PulseIQ Collects From Your Tracked Websites
When you install the PulseIQ tracking snippet on your website, the following is collected about your site's visitors:
- Page URL and referrer
- UTM parameters
- Device type, browser, operating system
- Country, region, and city (via IP address lookup using MaxMind GeoLite2, a local database; IP addresses are not stored)
- Hashed visitor fingerprint (a non-reversible numeric hash of browser characteristics that cannot be used to identify individuals)
- Session duration and scroll depth
- Custom events you define via PulseIQ.track()
- Core Web Vitals performance metrics
- E-commerce transaction data you send via PulseIQ.purchase()
What is not collected:
- No cookies are set on your visitors' browsers
- IP addresses are looked up against a local geo database and immediately discarded, never stored
- No cross-site tracking
- No advertising IDs
4. Third-Party Services We Use
- Stripe, for payment processing. Governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
- Bright Data, to provide search ranking, local map, Google News, and social monitoring data. PulseIQ sends search queries and domain names to Bright Data for this purpose. No visitor data from your tracked websites is sent to Bright Data.
- Anthropic (Claude API), which powers the AI Report Assistant on Pro and Agency plans. When you use the AI Assistant, a summary of your site's analytics and ranking data is sent to Anthropic's API. This summary does not contain personal information about your site's visitors.
- MaxMind GeoLite2, a locally hosted IP geolocation database. No data is sent to MaxMind servers during normal operation.
5. Data Retention
Your analytics data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, your data is deleted within 30 days. You can export all your data at any time from Settings -> Data.
6. Your Rights
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. Email hello@pulse-iq.io. We will confirm deletion within 7 business days.
7. GDPR and Cookieless Tracking
Because PulseIQ does not set cookies and does not store personal data about your site's visitors, most PulseIQ installations do not require a cookie consent banner. You are responsible for ensuring your use of PulseIQ complies with applicable law in your jurisdiction. If you are uncertain, consult a legal advisor.
